The Company

Ava Anderson Non-Toxic is a privately held company whose management team includes three generations of entrepreneurs with collective relevant experience in retail, manufacturing, and direct selling totaling over 100 years.

We are committed to Ava’s important mission of educating consumers about the health risks and providing non-toxic personal care products, and in so doing, build meaningful businesses for many partners, as we have done before.

Leadership

Ava Sprague Anderson, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Product Development

Ava Anderson grew up hanging around her mother’s home store. She always dreamed of starting her own business. She loves researching products online. Her strong belief in fairness and truth, from the time she was very young, drove her to solve the issue of unsafe cosmetics and skincare. She looks forward to pursuing the mission and building a business while enjoying her school and friends.

Kim Anderson, Founder, President

Kim’s more than 25 years as a business leader and entrepreneur started in the executive training program of Jordan Marsh and buying department of Macys. She owned a Sales Rep business in the fashion industry before founding her own clothing store, and home store. For 15 years, Teapots & Tassels, Co., a cornerstone business in her town, was awarded “Best of Rhode Island” in several categories repeatedly, and was featured in Southern Home Magazine. Personal commitment to the guiding principles of service, as well as creativity, product quality and uniqueness drew loyal customers from long distances. As a designer, Kim and her team of employees maintained a thriving interior business, often working on more than 30 projects at once. Kim has founded and led several significant community based programs. Kim was awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” award by the SBA in 1991 and “Citizen of the Year Award” in 2005 by the East Bay of Chamber of Commerce, for her Katrina relief effort, that sent 3, 40 foot containers of children’s clothing, food and water to Saint Bernard Parish within 5 days of the storm.

Barb Girson, Director of Training

Barb began her direct sales career with Tupperware part-time while teaching full-time. After a humble start she progressed to #2 in the nation out of 10,000 independent managers and 80,000 consultants. Barb led her multi-million dollar Tupperware business to the top 10% of franchises in North America by helping managers achieve national recognition in sales, recruiting and promoting leaders. Ready for a new challenge, Barb joined the corporate arena working with direct selling companies such as, The Body Shop At Home as National Sales Director and Director of Field Sales for Discovery Toys in North America. She has been responsible for up to $40 Mil in revenue and leading a field with as many 500 leaders and 20,000 consultants. Barb is founder and President of My Sales Tactics™. She is a highly interactive, creative speaker, coach and author, who has been featured in USA Today, appeared on CBS This Morning and Fox 28 News/Columbus. Barb is a sought after authority speaking on women in sales, direct selling and entrepreneurs.

Frohman Anderson, Executive Vice President

Frohman has held executive positions in three direct sales companies, including Princess House, Inc. From 2002 to present, he has been a General Partner of Champlain Capital Partners, L.P., a $140 million buyout fund. Frohman was VP of Strategic Planning and Technology at Princess House, Inc, a direct-sales company, where he developed and implemented growth strategies and industry-leading IT solutions for a 12,000 person sales force. In 1996, Frohman founded Inergy Online, a pioneering Internet services business, which he sold in 1998. From 1992 to 1996, he was General Manager of Heart and Home, and Art Treasures Guild, both direct sales companies, where he worked with Charles Collis, industry leader (see below). From 1984 to 1992, he worked for Cookson PLC, an industrial materials holding company. He has served on the board of directors of several private businesses. Mr. Anderson received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College in 1984.

Glenn Allen, Chief Operating Officer

Glenn is a senior operations and manufacturing executive with extensive domestic and international business experience. His 25 plus years employment history includes 14 years experience as COO of a party plan direct sales company. Glenn’s experience includes operational responsibility for multi-plant manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, quality control, distribution/warehousing, and human resources. Glenn holds a BS from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Bryant University.

John Mannix, Director of Information Technology

John Mannix brings over 28 years of broad based, multi-industry experience including startup / early stage development, strategic planning, security and risk management, applications development, project management, business process reengineering, software and hardware implementations, organization and new business development, management consulting, and enterprise solutions. John's experience has been in many sectors including the eight years in IT management in the direct selling industry. John most recently co-founded ZeroPoint Risk Research, a security, privacy and risk based research and consulting company, where he held the position of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held a number of senior management positions at Way Systems, Princess House and Ciba Corning Diagnostics.

Anna Soares, Consultant Services Manager

Anna served in many roles during her eight years with Princess House, Inc. She has extensive experience and knowledge in many aspects of the business. In her previous position, she supported four top level Executives while acting as the liaison and coordinator for launch of their Mexico business.

Charles Collis, Advisor

Mr. Collis was a pioneer in the Direct Selling industry. He founded Copper Craft Guild in 1948 and Princess House, Inc. in 1963. He received the Living Legend Award from the Direct Selling Association (DSA). As a lifetime entrepreneur and business owner, he has inspired us all.
